The Petersburg District has made great strides in mission in the last few years, and we want to celebrate it! This celebration will begin Saturday, September 18 at Carson UMC. The schedule is:
Concert by the "Seeking Grace" Praise Team 3-4 PM
Worship with Rev. Winston Worrell 4-5 PM
Director of the World Methodist Evangelism Institute
Dinner 5-6 PM (cost $11.00)
Rotisserie chicken, vegetables, dessert and drink
(Reservations made to the Petersburg District Office 732-2538 by Sept.3)
Breakout emphasis Groups 7-8 PM
Pathways, Society of St. Andrews, Stop Hunger Now, Hungary and Haiti
Participants will rotate among presentations from these emphasis areas
On Sunday, September 19, each church will have a mission speaker who will address the transformative ways God is working in mission today.
The celebration will culminate in the District Conference at Ocran UMC at 3 PM

the Rev. Istvan Csernak, District Superintendent of the Hungary District
the Rev Glen Rowley, Virginia Conference director of Mission and Global Justice Ministries
